Special Delivery for Orphan Grain Train

Norfolk Warehouse had a special delivery of milk but not your typical milk. Kemps delivered 30,000 single-serve, 8-ounce packs of ultra-high temperature (UHT) pasteurized milk that has a shelf life of up to 12 months. The Giving Cow milks are specifically designed for food shelves and kids backpack programs to fight hunger and are used for The Giving Cow Project. Many local organizations were thrilled to have milk that does not have to be refrigerated since most do not have refrigeration space. Allene Johnson with the Norfolk Community Food Pantry said “Being a non-profit working from donations only, we cannot afford to purchase milk for families so this is a treat to receive this milk.” Thank you, Kemps, for this nutritious and needed donation.
