Many Wonderful Volunteers Help Load Container For Republic of Georgia
After a chilly ‘March Madness’ week of heavy rain, high winds, and even a snow squall, our first real taste of balmy spring weather arrived just in time to load for Republic of Georgia on March 13th. Thanks to excellent pre-staging and organization the loading went off without a hitch. Our Mid-Atlantic Branch in West Grove, PA had seven adults and two teenagers begin on time right after the truck arrived at 9am. We finished loading all the clothing, Kids Against Hunger meals, medical equipment, sewing machines, and bicycles at 11:45am, perhaps a new record for MAB. Twelve additional volunteers came just to sort and pack, so we had lots of reasons to smile for our team photo!
