Thrivent Match for CA Fire Relief

Thrivent will be offering a Match in support of OGT’s disaster relief efforts in California.  The wildfires continue to ravage homes & businesses with no relief in sight as firefighters brace for more Santa Ana winds that propel the fires.  Several people have lost their lives and thousands of structures are destroyed.  We need your help to offer support and comfort to many devastated families and Thrivent will increase your impact.  We are working with Palisades Lutheran Church, which has several members that have lost everything in the fire.  We are seeing how we can best serve these families during their time of devastation and loss.

As part of the response, for every $2 donated through Thrivent’s online giving platform or gifts from a Donor Advised Fund through Thrivent Charitable Impact and Investing to Orphan Grain Train, Thrivent will match $1, up to $500,000.  This matching opportunity will run until the sooner of the match cap being met or 3/10/2025.  Thrivent pays all processing fees so 100% of your gift goes directly to the cause.

This Thrivent Match can ONLY be made through Thrivent’s online giving platform, OGT cannot accept checks or donations for the Thrivent Match.

Thrivent will also provide expedited Thrivent Action Team kits to our clients so they can take immediate action and provide critical and timely resources. Your supporters can identify a need, assemble a team to address it and take action. Thrivent provides promotional resources and up to $250 in seed money to launch the activity. Thrivent Clients can use their Thrivent Action Teams to raise funds, procure items and increase awareness of OGT’s Disaster Relief efforts.  Using promo code “Disaster2025” when applying for the Thrivent Action Team will expedite the kit.
