LWML’s Women’s Retreat Volunteer

On Friday, January 24, 2025, OGT/Phoenix opened our warehouse to visitors attending a LWML Women’s Retreat in Phoenix. These women came from Southern California, Nevada and Arizona. Twenty women came to see our operation and many stayed and worked for a couple of hours. They were an enthusiastic group and managed to fill twenty-three boxes by the time they left and left behind our sorting bins full and ready for our regular work day. Several of the women enjoyed working of the weaving loom, that is used to make sleeping bags from plastic grocery bags. The completed mat is shown; which was complete during our regular “work” day on January 25. Phoenix received a LWML Grant about a year ago. We bought a forklift for the warehouse with that money and the ladies were excited to see the purchase from the grant! It was a very successful event!
